Each character have they own personal growth rate which is added to their class growth rate.

The first line is the cleric's growth rate, the baseline for comparison. The other lines shows how the growth rate are affected by the promotion.

Both Inquisitor and Guardian keep their Crushing damage making them effective against Plate armor ( + 35%) and Chain Armor (15%). Both also have Plate armor making them vulnerable to Crushing / Arcane / Cleaving / Holy damage.

Both Priest Acolyte switch Crushing damage to Holy damage, making them effective against Rune cloak (30%) and Plate Armor.

Priest stay using Rune cloak making them vulnerable to Holy / Cleaving / Piercing / Slashing / Fire damage.

Acolyte have Leather armor helping to defend against Slashing, Projectile, Fire, Storm damage

Quick analysis

Inquisitor : The best choice for building an Anti-mage character especially against Fire and Storm users. The Arcanist enemy user are more tricky to deal with because you have a weakness against their damage

Guardian : Build-up the character for being a physical tank. A guardian won't be afraid to go on the front line for healing and I found the heal over time more valuable than other healing option

Priest : Priests are stuck at 5 movement so even the + 1 range for the heal, he has less range of healing than the Guardian (5+2 for the Priest and 7+1 for the Guardian).

Acolyte : The offensive glass-canon promotion. Lower defensive stats but with a huge boost in Dex/Speed for helping to successfully double attack.
