As a mysterious purple spire appears at Swift Harbor, Vesta wakes up and greets the party. She reveals that Aurima and herself are apart of an ancient order dedicated to protecting aspects, known as the Order of the Eternals. Due to the Order being located in Verroa, the party must go to Swift Harbor, and find passage across the Beryl Sea to reach Verroa. The party goes to Swift Harbor, and finds Empyrean at the center of the purple spire. They must reach Empyrean and defeat him in order to reach Swift Harbor and make it to Verroa.
Coincidentally, Sterling shows up to face Empyrean at the same time as the party. The two brothers, Irving and Sterling, attack Empyrean in sync, causing the purple spire to explode.
Despite this, tragedy strikes.
Sterling perishes as a result of the spire's explosion, unable to be healed by any cleric or magic. Irving is devastated by this loss, and passes out from the shock of losing his brother.
