Rose was born and raised in Redhill, the largest township in Delia. She lived with her parents on a small farm, far enough from any other homesteads that she had little interaction with other people for a lot of her childhood. Her father is a fletcher, and they ended up spending most of Rose's days teaching her archery, something she had impressive natural aptitude in and picked up very quickly. As she reached her teenage years and had never had a real friendship with anyone other than her parents, she began to develop crippling social anxiety. Even when she joined her father on his trips to his shop in Redhill proper, interactions with his customers were a rarity for her. This only became more difficult as the years dragged on, and she considered it a personal failure on a daily basis.
At 15, Rose was out practicing archery and was abducted by a local group of bandits. Though she was never told the reason they took her or what their original plans for her were, several of them recognized her as a talented archer. They put her to work teaching the group archery, from that point on promising that no harm would befall her if she cooperated. Taken from her parents, the only friends she had ever had, and a home that she had never left for more than a day, this time was incredibly difficult for Rose. After many nights spent crying in the furnished cage they kept her in, her resolve hardened and she started to make the best of things in her own little way. She was determined to do a good job teaching so that maybe she would be able to return home sooner. She has been with the bandits for over a year, and her resolve is beginning to wane. Several of the bandits have been kind to her, and one even offered to help her escape. She had declined, afraid of what they would do to the both of them were they caught. She is getting closer by the day to accepting that offer.
